Music
is the under girding component for worship.
It is the universal
language of the soul that ushers worshippers into the presence of God.
The focal point
of effective worship is a message that meets needs in
an
inspiring and unique manner. Worship, like every other ministry
for Christ, is done with excellence.
Music by the Celebration Choir and Lakeshore's
talented instrumentalists are an important part of our praise and worship.
The services offer a blend of contemporary and traditional musical
styles that accent the message and provide a worship experience far from
ordinary. The choir often sings choral arrangements from Christ
Church and Brooklyn Tabernacle choirs. Even our own Pastor David is
blessed with musical talents and occasionally sings and plays the piano
for the congregation.
Pastor David often offers a series of messages on
topics that can be practically applied to your daily life and each
message has a specifically tailored musical emphasis as well.
The Lakeshore Celebration Choir
annually
presents
an
Easter Cantata
on Good Friday and Easter evenings.
The choir commits this program to
memory and usually begins work on the music after Christmas.
Carols, Candles, and Communion is another
service presented annually
on Christmas Eve from
8-9:00 PM. This service is filled
with traditional carols, story-time for the kids, music from the
Youth and KidzPrayz Choirs, Adult Choir anthems and other special
music from ensembles and soloists. There's
a time for candlelight and communion
at the close of the service.
Ensemble, instrumental, and other
special
music is also presented
on a regular basis.
Lakeshore
Church has become
known as "the
singing church" in
the Byram and South
Jackson communities. The worship experience at Lakeshore is Spirit filled!

Lakeshore Celebration
Choir
is open to anyone who's reached
the age of 18 and has graduated
from high school. Each service is prayerfully
organized by our
Interim Minister of Music, Michael Heindl.
The choice of choir
anthems and special music for each Sunday morning are uplifting
and
inspiring and bring emphasis to Pastor Watson's message.
Wednesday night rehearsals are energetic and are a wonderful time
for praise, worship, and fellowship.
